Burlington has many activities for the whole family. City Park has an antique carousel and a newer train that travels through downtown that are fun to ride on. Summer concerts are held at many of the parks of the city, and fireworks can be seen in City Park on the Fourth of July and Halloween. In addition, Burlington has much historical background as a site of a nearby revolutionary war battle, many homes built in the late 1800's and early 1900's in a Historic District, and the beautiful Federal Building, built during the depression era.

Three types of mall shopping are provided to Burlington apartment residents. Burlington Square Mall is the area's only indoor mall, while Almance Crossing is the outdoor mall here, built in 2007.
